We are committed to creating a culture in which employees feel responsibility towards the environment and society. To achieve this Q8 will:

- assign SSHE responsibility and accountability at all levels in the organisation, with Managers and Supervisors leading by example;
- provide our employees with the skills required to support SSHEMS and consistently use safe working practices to prevent incidents and improve SSHE performance;
- develop a motivated and committed workforce and enhance the overall SSHE culture by involving employees at all levels in SSHEMS initiatives;
- promote pollution prevention, energy efficiency and habitat conservation initiatives and support the development of environmentally friendly products;
- set objectives and targets to ensure continuous improvement and measure our SSHE performance against the targets;
- require our business partners to apply SSHE standards that are compatible with our own;
- comply with the regulations, laws and requirements of the countries in which we operate and adopt our own standards where such laws do not exist;
- proactively identify hazards from our operations and products and put in place measures to control the associated risks.
